Send Outdoor Digital Pix to the FWS Image Mosaic
As part of an effort to get families outdoors, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is compiling a mosaic of digital images showing people enjoying nature in their backyards, local parks and nearby wild places, such as a national wildlife refuge.
Family members are encouraged to take a camera along on all adventures outdoors and capture interesting and attractive images. The images then can be uploaded to a FWS Website where they can be integrated into a mosaic of a painting by one of the world's greatest wildlife artists, Robert Bateman. When images are submitted, senders will be given an image ID number via e-mail so that they will be able to go back to the mosaic and know which picture is theirs.
Images need to be submitted to http://yououtdoors.org/ by the end of August to be included in the mosaic. (jas)
