74th N.A. Conference Transactions Available, 73rd Transactions Pending

As backwards as it may seem (and is), the Transactions of the 74th (2009) North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference has been released, whereas the 73rd (2008) Transactions has been delayed and may not be available for another month or two.

The 74thTransactions features plenary session presentations by Steve Williams, Wildlife Management Institute President, Thomas Vilsack, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and Will Shafroth, Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior. Also included are papers from presentation at the Conference's four Special Sessions?Measuring State Wildlife Action Plan Implementation; The Coursework of Conservation: Are University Curricula on Target?; Mixed Messages: Media and the Environment; and Making the North American Model More Relevant to More Americans.

Rounding out the volume is an insightful paper from the Conference workshop Climate Change and Managing Fish and Wildlife. It is entitled "Managing Fish and Wildlife Habitat in the Face of Climate Change: The USDA Forest Service Perspective."?

Totaling 127 pages and edited by Richard McCabe and Kelly Stockwell, the complete 74thTransactions is available as a PDF download from the Wildlife Management Institute's Web Store. The cost is $25.00.
