What Better Christmas Gift for the Conservation Professional?
Copies of the limited (500), numbered edition of the classic book, An American Crusade for Wildlife, still are available.
To commemorate its 100th Anniversary, the Wildlife Management Institute (WMI) produced a new edition of An American Crusade for Wildlife by James B. Trefethen. The book is a Boone and Crockett Club title, but has been out of print for a number of years. Reprised by WMI with the Club's permission and solely for a run of 500 copies, the book is being made available to persons contributing $100 or more (tax-deductible, see below) to the Institute's natural resource management programs.
An American Crusade for Wildlife is widely considered the most comprehensive history of wildlife in America and the emergence of conservation. Jim Trefethen, a Boone and Crockett Club member, was Director of Publications for the Wildlife Management Institute from 1951 to the date of his passing in 1976, a year after the book was first released.
Persons wishing to make a donation of $100 or more to WMI, should go to the WMI Store?and click "Add to cart" to submit a contribution using a credit card, or make a check payable to the Wildlife Management Institute, and send it to 1440 Upper Bermudian Road, Gardners, PA 17324. An American Crusade for Wildlife (with a $60 fair market value) will be sent to the donor shortly thereafter. Order immediately in time for delivery by Christmas.
The Wildlife Management Institute is a private, nonprofit, scientific and educational 501[c]3 organization. Donations to WMI are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donors should consult with their tax advisors if there are any questions.
