Women in Wildlife Conservation Network's Workshop: Creating a Welcoming Culture

Mon, March 9, 2020, 1:00 pm - Mon, March 9, 2020, 5:00 pm
Location
Blackstone Ballroom B

The Women in Wildlife Conservation Network is hosting three separate sessions at the North American Wildlife & Natural Resources Conference on Creating a Welcoming Culture. We will provide tools in each of the three sessions without duplicating across sessions.

Creating a welcoming culture is one of the steps in the Relevancy Roadmap aimed at retaining diverse values within the agency workforce. We will provide tools in each of the three sessions without duplicating across sessions.

Description: Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment requires cultural change and a shift in mindsets. These interactive workshops will provide specific tools for participants to use immediately and other resources that can be explored after the sessions. Tools include bystander education, awareness of unconscious bias and microaggressions, how to establish structural supports for diverse groups, and more!

RSVP's before the workshop are encouraged. Contact: Deb Hahn

*Note: this is not exclusive for women. We encourage everyone to attend regardless of gender identity.
