Scheduled to speak at the Opening Session of the 73rd North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference are Secretary of Agriculture Edward T. Schafer and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Director H. Dale Hall.

The Opening (Plenary) Session will commence at 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 26, in the Regency Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Phoenix, Phoenix, Arizona. Steve Williams, President of the Wildlife Management Institute, will welcome the conferees and offer comments on the status and direction of conservation management in North America. Remarks by Secretary Schafer and Director Hall will follow.

Effective Conservation through Partnerships is the theme of the 73rd North American Conference, which will take place officially March 25-29.
