Robert Wallace Confirmed as DOI Assistant Secretary

On June 28, the U.S. Senate confirmed Robert Wallace as the next Assistant Secretary for Fish and Wildlife and Parks for the Department of the Interior. Wallace is from Evanston, Wyoming and has experience leading the National Park Service’s congressional affairs office, as well as working on Capitol Hill for Wyoming’s Senator Malcom Wallop and for Wyoming Governor Jim Geringer. Wallace also led U.S. government relations for GE Energy. He received broad bipartisan support in the Senate and also has received support from a variety of conservation and recreation organizations.

“Rob Wallace brings extensive public and private sector experience to his new role as Assistant Secretary for Fish and Wildlife and Parks, and I look forward to working with him in his new capacity to advance the President’s agenda,” said U.S. Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt in a statement.
